**Job Summary**
As an Onsite Technical Expert, you thrive on providing technical service, solutions and support to our onsite customers. You collaborate with and influence internal stakeholders and onsite customers to coordinate and solve technical issues associated with their network and Telstra products, services and network. By providing the right solutions, in the right way, at the right time, you're central to a successful partnership with our onsite customers
**The Role**
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Onsite Construction Specialist to coordinate field validation and construction activities across the East Coast. You will ensure projects stay on track, maintaining up-to-date programme statuses and managing risk and compliance frameworks to meet requirements.
Using your problem-solving and communication skills, you will oversee field inspections, report findings, and resolve challenges. Your ability to analyse data and trends, implement compliance improvements, and collaborate with stakeholders will be key to success. You'll also manage network damages, faults, outages, and customer complaints to ensure timely resolution.
This is a field-based role with travel, offering the prospect to make a tangible impact on the successful delivery of construction projects. If you're ready to take on a dynamic role in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.
**Key responsibilities** 
- Field monitoring of specific programs of works schedules to endure planned deliverable dates are continually met or exceeded, and field staff utilised where and when they are needed onsite. 
- Supervision of stakeholders and contractors (who don't directly report to you) and other Telstra field staff to ensure all work is completed within agreed timeframes, to cost and quality standards and within H&S; guidelines. 
- Assist HS&E; consultants with incident investigations, implement findings and recommend corrective actions. 
- Assist in the development of frameworks to support various risk and compliance elements across the group. 
- Drive ongoing operational performance and continual improvement. 
- Promoting HSE compliance, quality assurance and risk management to ensure that a rigorous risk review process is adhered to.
**Essential Experience** 
- Demonstrated experience working in Fibre Construction 
- Strong financial and business planning skills with demonstrated commercial and financial acumen 
- Ability to manage complex problems across large, diverse teams and stakeholders 
- Demonstrated complex and strategic problem solving skills 
- Skills in conflict resolution and leadership 
- High level of attention to detail 
- Knowledge of relevant HS&E; obligations and legislation
