The role:
This is a Permanent Part-time position, offering 2-3 days a week. As the Accounts Assistant, you are responsible for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions of the resort, working closely with the Group Financial Controller and General Manager. In addition to this, the role also covers and is responsible for all aspects of the Accounts Receivable, Debtor Management and providing support to the Companies' Departmental Managers in their operational day-to-day deliverables.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and General Manager, some of your main responsibilities will include:
* Provide crucial support to the Financial Controller and General Manager, in all areas of finance & administrative operations.
* Responsible for all aspects of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
* Responsible for the Hotel's debtor function i.e.: monitoring debtor payments, processing credit applications, debt collection, invoicing, banking, reconciliations and month end requirements.
* Routine book-keeping, including maintenance of the general ledger and reconciliation of accounts.
* Perform stock take process with other relevant personnel where required.
* Responsible for the matching of authorised Purchase Orders and delivery dockets to supplier's invoices and accuracy of calculations and extensions.
* Review accuracy in coding of expenses/invoices.
* Preparing payments to suppliers on a timely basis ensuring credit facility is optimally utilised and entitled discounts are taken.
* Responsible for the maintenance of Accounts Payable Ledger.
* Monthly reconciliation of Vendor statements.
* Support other departments and other areas of the hotel within your skill set and training.
* Daily processing of all revenue transactions in the corporate accounts.
* Daily, weekly and monthly reporting of revenue and cash balances, as well as Debtor balances.
* Assist Departmental Managers with their daily operational deliverables with regards to sourcing of goods, reviewing vendors, collection of assets and purchase order creation and management.
* Assume the responsibilities of the other member of the finance team when in their absence. This included assistance to the finance team at our sister property, The Sydney Boulevard Hotel.
* Carry out any other tasks within your scope of training and experience as directed by the Group Financial Controller or General Manager.
Requirements:
* At least 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality sector.
* A degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
* Solid understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes and general accounting functions.
* Great attention to detail, a solid grasp of mathematics, alongside excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Committed to delivering a high level of customer service.
* Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel).
* Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities.
* Attention to detail and focus on quality output.
* Willingness to proactively problem solve where possible.
* Full working rights to work in Australia
* Current Drivers Licence
