Eligibility to Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).

While this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other similar vacancies. These options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from the endorsement of the recruitment decision.
Position Profile
The Team Leader Clinical Coding assists the Area Manager in ensuring that clinical coding services for the East Metropolitan Area Health Service (EMHS) are undertaken in an effective, efficient and timely manner that meet quality standards. Ensures that the team undertakes the accurate and timely collection of clinical data in accordance with Hospital, State, National and International requirements as well as undertakes the coding of the more complex cases.

The East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) comprises an extensive hospital and health service network that aims to maintain and improve the health and wellbeing of more than 790,000 Western Australians in its catchment area. Our hospital network provides tertiary, secondary and specialist health care services including emergency and critical care, state trauma, elective and emergency surgery, general medical, mental health, inpatient and outpatient services, aged care, palliative care, rehabilitation, and women’s, children’s and neonates services. The EMHS consists of Royal Perth Hospital; Armadale Health Service; Bentley Health Service; Kalamunda Hospital; St John of God Midland Public Hospital and related services.
