**About the role**
The Communications & Public Relations Coordinator will join the Marketing department, reporting directly to the Communications & Media Manager and work with a wide range of stakeholders within the RSPCA to write creative and informative communications to engage and inspire. Additionally, supporting the Multimedia Production Specialist as required with basic photography and story documentation.
- Assist the Communications & Media Manager in the development, implementation, reporting and continuous improvement of all aspects of Communications, Media, Advocacy and Ambassador strategy.
- Copywriting for the website, blog, and company newsletters as well as copy editing assistance for a variety of RSPCA communications and campaigns.
- Assisting with public relations to achieve impactful brand exposure by initiating and responding to media opportunities. This will include digital, print and broadcast outlets.
- Assisting with media monitoring and producing weekly and monthly reports and ensuring media lists are current.
- Project management coordination.
- Assisting with story development through photography and documentation.
- Building and nurturing current Brand Ambassador relationships.

**Who are we looking for?**
- At least 2 years' experience in communications strategy, journalism or public relations role including communications planning and media relations.
- Tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism or similar.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including copywriting, creative storytelling, and proofreading as well as being confident in talking to external contacts such as media outlets and RSPCA supporters.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills to balance multiple competing priorities/deadlines.
- Experienced in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams/Zoom.
- Genuine interest in animal welfare and the objectives of RSPCA.
This is a full-time, permanent position, working 38 hours per week. Remuneration is commensurate with skills, qualifications and experience.
