**About the Role**
The position is a permanent position based at Casey Hospital.
Casey Hospital has expanded to provide the residents of Casey and Cardinia with access to quality critical healthcare closer to home. The expanded facilities increase the specialties and complexity of services provided, with an Intensive Care Unit and General Medicine Wards being commissioned, in addition to increased capacity in the Emergency Department, Haemodialysis and Outpatients. We are now looking to appoint an experienced Healthcare Social Worker to a full time, permanent Grade 2 Social Work position in Women's and Children's and the emergency department and across the broader acute and sub-acute adult wards.

You are a dynamic Allied Health professional who is passionate about making a positive contribution to the health of your patients. Described as enthusiastic and motivated to perform at your best every day, you demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The work provides an opportunity to showcase your skills in working with people from diverse backgrounds, across a range of diagnostic groups, using skills in risk assessment, care planning, decision-making and discharge planning.
You will be a highly skilled social worker in health care with the opportunity to work in a setting assisting adult and paediatric patient cohorts including general medicine, general surgery, emergency department and other specialty areas as required. The focus is on psychosocial assessments, complex discharge planning and family support. Experience in a hospital or other health setting is preferred.

**What you need**:
- An Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) accredited Bachelor Degree or entry level Master's Degree of Social Work that provides eligibility for membership of the AASW.**What we offer**:
