Job Opportunity: Experienced Sous Chef Wanted
* We are seeking a talented individual to join our culinary team as a Sous Chef.
About the Role:
1. This part-time position will involve leading kitchen staff and working closely with the Head Chef to develop menus and oversee kitchen operations.
2. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory levels, labor costs, and back-of-house expenses, while ensuring high standards of product quality and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement new recipes and menu ideas that meet customer demands.
* Lead a team of chefs in maintaining the highest level of presentation, sanitation, and product quality standards.
* Supervise staff training and development to enhance their skills and abilities.
* Manage the ordering of ingredients and supplies to maintain efficient inventory levels.
* Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure seamless kitchen operations and effective communication between teams.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Certificate III Cookery qualification or equivalent is highly desirable.
* A minimum of two years' experience as a Sous Chef is required.
* Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
