We are seeking a Health and Wellbeing Advisor to provide technical expertise and partner with leaders to support the delivery and integration of DBCT’s Health and Wellbeing Strategy.
Working within the Safety, Risk and Environment team, this role focuses on identifying and addressing organisational, work design and operational factors that influence workforce health and wellbeing. The position plays a key role in supporting a proactive, systems-based approach that is embedded into everyday business practices.

In this role, you will:
* Provide professional and technical advice to support informed, risk-based decision making on health and wellbeing matters.
* Partner with leaders to identify work design, workload and organisational factors impacting health and wellbeing, and support practical improvements.
* Support the identification, assessment and management of psychosocial hazards through integration with existing risk management systems.
* Apply a risk-informed approach to analyse health and wellbeing data, identify trends and emerging risks, and contribute to organisational reporting and insights.
* Contribute to health and wellbeing performance monitoring, including KPI tracking and dashboard development.
* Support the integration of health and wellbeing considerations into organisational systems, policies and operational processes across the employment lifecycle.
* Provide coaching and field‑based support to leaders and teams, including early intervention, effective communication and fostering psychologically safe environments.
* Coordinate selected health and wellbeing processes to ensure alignment with organisational systems and strategic objectives.
* Engage with and support external service providers to ensure services align with organisational requirements.
* Provide support and advice on injury management and return to work processes in alignment with broader health and wellbeing outcomes.
* Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with organisational requirements
About you
You are a proactive and collaborative professional who can work across all levels of an organisation and influence outcomes in complex environments. You bring a balance of technical capability and strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on practical, sustainable solutions.
You will ideally have:
* Tertiary qualifications in Health Science or a related field
* Experience in occupational health, allied health, rehabilitation or a related discipline, preferably within a complex or industrial environment
* Sound knowledge of health, safety and workers’ compensation legislation, with the ability to interpret and apply it in practice
* Experience supporting psychosocial risk management, organisational health or workforce wellbeing initiatives
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into practical actions.
* Highly developed communication, coaching and influencing skills
* High attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
