Paediatric Occupational Therapist Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in Cairns, Queensland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing best-practice assessment and occupational therapy services to children in our modern clinic.
You will write assessment and progress reports, liaise with families and other professionals, maintain and expand your knowledge base, share your expertise with the team, and provide a mobile service to surrounding areas.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or higher
* Blue Card for Working with Children
* Registration with AHPRA
* Eligibility to Obtain a Medicare Provider Number
* Australian Driver's License
Job Description:
Providing Best-Practice Assessment and Occupational Therapy Services:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's needs and abilities
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote occupational performance and independence
* Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and make adjustments as needed
Communication and Collaboration:
* Establish and maintain positive relationships with families, carers, and other healthcare professionals
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and other stakeholders
* Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge, skills, and best practices
Professional Development:
* Participate in ongoing professional development to maintain and expand knowledge and skills
* Stay up-to-date with industry developments, research, and evidence-based practice
Benefits:
* $86,000 - $119,000 per annum salary range
