The Role
We’re a start-up traffic management company looking for an experienced Team Leader to help us build something from the ground up.
This role suits a confident operator who can run a crew properly, deliver high-quality traffic management, and take ownership on site.
We’re not here to be average — and we’re not looking for average.
This is an opportunity to come in early, prove yourself, and progress into senior management as an operations manager as the company grows.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise traffic control crews on site
• Deliver and manage complex Traffic Management Plans (TMPs)
• Ensure all works comply with VicRoads / Major Road standards
• Conduct pre-starts and toolbox talks
• Communicate professionally with site supervisors, engineers, and clients
• Monitor, adjust, and improve traffic setups as conditions change
• Maintain high standards of safety, presentation, and efficiency
• Oversee vehicles, equipment, and signage
• Help build systems, standards, and team culture from day one
Experience & Requirements
• Minimum 3+ years traffic control team leader experience
• Proven experience running all types of set ups including local government roads, major road, freeway, or complex setups
• Experience leading crews and taking control on site
• Strong understanding of TMPs and site safety requirements
• Professional communicator — no hand-holding required
• Reliable, organised, and takes pride in their work
• Wants to grow into a senior leadership role

* Relevant Traffic Control Tickets
Experience using Traffio a big advantage
