We are seeking a Production Scheduler who will be responsible for the creation, issuing and management of daily production schedules in line with the supply plan, with a focus upon optimising efficiencies.
Reporting into the Operations Manager, this role acts as the conduit for the information flow to and from the factory floor, ensuring that the change process is clearly communicated in a timely manner to give an aligned team view on the weekly conformance to schedule.
**Key Responsibilities** 
- Work with the Operations team to break down the weekly production plan into detailed and achievable daily buckets, by work centre 
- Work with the Shift Managers to ensure that the schedule is supported by the required labour 
- Update the production schedule daily and report on any changes as they happen 
- Work with the Operations team to re-plan production misses and own the change control and communication of change process 
- Escalate scheduling decisions as required to the Supply Planner if the changes impact the forward plan 
- Report on schedule adherence and attainment measures 
- Ensure that the weekly schedule includes planned maintenance and that emergency repairs are escalated to the key stakeholders if they impact the weekly attainment objectives 
- Support new product launches and run-outs in the weekly schedule, ensuring they are planned within the scheduling time frame rule unless driven by substitution or material availability. 
- Partner with NPD and procurement, taking responsibility for escalating BoM and recipe card issues to the NPD team. 
- Work with the Production & Replenishment Planner to ensure that the plan is scheduled in a way that first and foremost supports the sales objectives of the business 
- Work with materials planning to ensure the weekly production plan is supported by the required packaging and materials 
- Advise the Production & Replenishment Planner of any issues which may affect the delivery of the weekly production plan 
- Work with the Production & Replenishment Planner to ensure that known material shortages are worked around as appropriate - and to resolve schedule adherence issues 
- Ensure that production work order completions align with production volumes and investigate/correct where required. 
- Ensure that scheduled aliquots are matched with current outputs to ensure that the master data for planning assumptions is up to date and reflects line capability.

**Qualifications** 
- Tertiary qualification - Supply Chain, or Business based undergraduate degree or equivalent industry experience
**Experience** 
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar role, ideally in either Food or FMCG.
