About the role:
EMG/Gravity Media Australia is looking for an experienced Maintenance and Support Engineer to join our busy team, based in our Mascot warehouse.
We are seeking a motivated individual who thrives in dynamic and fast-paced environments, adapts to new technologies and requirements, works collaboratively in cross-functional teams, and maintains focus on customer satisfaction and technical excellence.
What you'll be responsible for:
The Maintenance and Support Engineer will assist in current and new projects to ensure field facilities are delivered according to scope, with a focus on customer service and high-quality standards. You will liaise with all relevant stakeholders to support the maintenance and continual upgrade of facilities for OB, SNG, and Event Communications field teams. Additionally, you will develop solutions to challenges related to customer requirements to achieve desired results.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Liaise with relevant stakeholders to provide maintenance to field facilities.
* Develop and implement maintenance schedules for field assets.
* Assist in the build and system integration of greenfield projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
* Collaborate with the Workshop Engineering team on cable termination, repair, equipment testing, and stock level management.
* Provide on-site support for project execution when required.
* Coordinate resources and communicate effectively to ensure seamless project execution.
* Develop solutions to overcome challenges and adapt to changes.
* Work collaboratively with stakeholders and production teams to coordinate resources.
* Maintain strong communication with stakeholders, respond promptly to inquiries, and uphold professionalism.
* Analyze current business practices, identify areas for improvement, and implement procedures to increase efficiency and profitability.
* Build and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders, suppliers, and manufacturers.
* Stay informed about industry trends, company developments, and competitors.
* Participate in ongoing training and team development.
This role is for you if you have:
* 3–5 years of experience in a similar broadcast role.
* Proven track record of maintaining and upgrading engineering facilities in OB/Field or SNG settings.
* Experience managing engineering projects from conception to delivery.
* Ability to develop and implement technical solutions for customer needs.
* Strong attention to detail and quality in technical deliverables.
* Excellent communication skills for effective liaising with teams, stakeholders, and clients.
