Your new role
Your daily responsibilities will include:
Addressing client needs in the least restrictive manner possible
Preparing clear and factual handover notes and incident reports
Mentoring clients and assisting them in developing independent living skills
Supporting clients in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and relapse prevention
Managing complex and challenging client behaviours, including aggressive behaviours
What you'll need to succeed
To be a successful candidate, you must meet the following criteria:
Certificate III in Community Services or a related field
Effective communication and time management skills
Experience in the homelessness support sector or a related field
Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of client information
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
At least one (1) year of experience as a Support or Crisis Worker or equivalent

We are seeking casual Crisis Support Workers in Rockhampton. The organisation operates a 24/7 facility; therefore, applicants must have the availability and flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster, including days, afternoon, nights (Sleepover shifts), and weekends. The position offers an attractive wage of $40.00 per hour plus superannuation and penalties, with an estimated 25-40 hours of work per week.
