Department of Housing, Local Government, Planning and Public Works QLD Brisbane, QLD A$133,603-$143,125 p/a On-site Posted 1 day ago The primary purpose of this position is to provide high level professional and strategic advice to divisions and senior managers in relation to financial and budget management reporting, costing and governance on issues that impact on the performance of their areas.
Responsibilities Provide high level professional and financial advice to senior managers in specific divisions and senior managers within the Finance Directorate in relation to financial management and performance reporting, financial governance and implications of various service delivery and financial issues and proposals.
Provide independent analytical reviews, forecasts and advice regarding budgetary and financial issues and needs, including in the preparation of State Budget and stand-alone funding submissions.
Undertake continuous improvement initiatives and analysis designed to monitor divisional financial performance and governance.
Develop strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, conducive to the sharing of relevant financial information and advice on a range of service delivery issues.
Contribute to fostering an environment that values performance, customer service, equity and fairness, continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of high quality services.
Manage teams and resources wisely to deliver a broad work program and ensuring teams have the necessary skills, knowledge, and expertise to meet their performance expectations and professional development goals.
