1. Shop Assistant (Not Cashier role) (FULL-TIME/Experience Required)
Minimum availability of 4 days per week is required for this position.
In this customer-facing role, you will be essential in maintaining the quality and appearance of our fresh produce section.
Applicants must have basic conversational English proficiency to effectively interact with customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Stock Rotation & Freshness: Rotate stock using the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method to ensure product freshness and minimize waste. Knows how to cut and wrap.
* Quality Control: Inspect, sort, and cull produce to maintain our high-quality standards.
* Merchandising: Store, organize, and display fruits and vegetables correctly to enhance their appeal.
* Inventory Management: Assist with stock replenishment from the storage area to the shop floor.
* Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work environment for both staff and customers.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* A genuine passion for fresh fruits and vegetables.
* A strong work ethic and a reliable, punctual nature.
* The ability to work effectively both in a team and independently.
* Good physical stamina for tasks involving lifting, standing, and moving stock.
* Physical capability to safely lift items up to 18kg as required for stock handling duties.
* A keen eye for detail, especially regarding quality and freshness.
* Previous work with fresh produce is preferred.
