About the opportunity
We are looking for a values-driven nurse to provide care and support to people on their journey to achieve alcohol and drug withdrawal in our Ivanhoe Residential Withdrawal Unit.

* Part‐time ongoing roles based in our Ivanhoe Residential Withdrawal Unit.
You will be part of a strong multidisciplinary team supporting consumers with a holistic approach to assessment, planning, and care. Our clients are ambulant and can manage their personal care.
During business hours you will report to the Senior Registered Nurse on shift. When working outside these hours you will have the confidence and experience to support the team and contribute to clinical decision making.
What's on offer
You will work rotating rostered shifts over the full 24‐hour period. Discuss with us what part‐time looks like for you and we'll do our best to support you.
In addition to Enrolled Nurse Grade 2 rates and superannuation, you'll also receive 17.5% leave loading and an ability to increase your take‐home pay by accessing up to $15,900 in salary packaging benefits.

You will have access to paid parental leave for up to 10 weeks and can receive a 10% discount on the childcare subsidy gap fee when using a Uniting Early Learning service or centre.
About you
You will ideally have solid experience working as a Registered Nurse in a Drug and Alcohol or Mental Health inpatient or custodial setting. Most importantly, you have a track record working with clients with problematic drug and/or alcohol use in a calm, empathetic, and non‐judgmental manner.
You will also bring with you:
* Registration as a Medication Endorsed Division 2 nurse with AHPRA.
* Certificate IV in AOD or have completed the core competencies (or be able to complete within the first 24 months of employment).
* Competencies in dual diagnosis (or be able to complete within the first 24 months of employment).
* Extensive demonstrated practical experience as an Enrolled Nurse.
* Ability to contribute to and support the provision of educational groups and activities for clients undergoing withdrawal.
* Ability and preparedness to assist clients with daily living tasks in a way that preserves dignity and encourages self‐reliance.
