KYHA Studios is seeking an experienced Product Development Manager to join our Melbourne team.
This role plays a key part in bringing our collections to life — supporting the translation of creative vision into technically sound, beautifully constructed garments ready for production. You will oversee the day-to-day development process and lead our in-house workroom to ensure every sample meets KYHA's quality, fit and construction standards.
This role is 5 days onsite in our head office in Mulgrave, VIC.

Manage the end-to-end product development process from design handover through to final sample approval
Lead and guide a team of 5 machinists, fostering a collaborative, high-quality workroom environment
Oversee sampling, fittings and garment specifications to ensure design intent and fit accuracy
Monitor development timelines and critical paths to ensure on-time sample delivery
Work closely with Design, Tech and Production to align creative vision with technical feasibility and cost awareness
Support the preparation and maintenance of tech packs, BOMs and specification documentation
Identify and troubleshoot technical or construction challenges during sampling
Drive continuous improvement across fit, finish and development processes
About you...
* 5 years' experience in product development within apparel (luxury or high-end womenswear highly regarded)
* Strong understanding of garment construction, fitting processes and development workflows
* Experience guiding or mentoring machinists or development teams
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple styles and timelines simultaneously
* Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality
* Confident communicator who enjoys working cross-functionally
