We are seeking expressions of interest for the following full-time position (1.0 FTE).
**Secondary School English Teacher (Middle School: Year 7-9)**
We are seeking an outstanding, passionate, and inspiring English teacher with experience and qualifications to teach English to Year 9 level, commencing in January 2025.
**The successful applicant must have**:
- relevant qualifications and experience, be approachable and relate well to students, parents and fellow staff members
- experience in writing and implementing the English curriculum
- a passion for teaching English to Secondary School students and, in particular, Middle School students in an engaging and relevant way.
**Essential Knowledge and Experience**:
You will have:
- an active Christian faith
- a passion for living out your Christian faith and prepared to model, uphold and support the Ethos and Core Values of the College
- a deeply relational, friendly and open personality
- a variety of teaching and learning strategies to meet the needs of all the students that you teach
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including team-building and mentoring skills
- the willingness to go the extra mile to ensure that your students are always well-provided for
- a commitment to supporting College policies and procedures relating to Classroom and Behaviour Management
- an understanding of technology and the ability to integrate this into your teaching confidently.
**Qualifications**:
You will have:
- relevant tertiary qualifications and experience related to the teaching responsibility required by the position
- current Western Australia Australian Teachers Registration Board Certificate of Registration (TRBWA)
- current Working With Children Card
- current Police Clearance.
**Additional Requirements**:
- The successful applicant will be expected to complete the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations Modules if not already completed.
- You must have the right to live and work in Australia (VEVO checks will be conducted to confirm your eligibility to work in Australia).
