A highly regarded national organisation is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their team. This is a newly created role to add additional resources following strong growth, and represents the company's commitment to supporting the future growth and development of the business and its people.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day accounting operations while gaining exposure to a broad range of financial activities across the business. Your responsibilities will include accounts payable and receivable, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, month-end support, and assisting with reporting requirements.
The successful candidate will have a relevant accounting qualification (or be working towards one), strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Experience within a wholesale, distribution, or fast-paced commercial environment will be highly regarded, as will strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systems.
