Job ResponsibilitiesAssist Service Manager with daily service activities including internal/external repairs and warranty assessments.Ensure completed jobs meet acceptable standards before being dispatched.Ensure all service equipment including forklift vehicles, cranes, and specialist equipment are operated in a safe and responsible manner, maintained, serviced, and that tools are kept in good working condition and measuring equipment is calibrated accordingly.Liaise with other staff members to ensure the business operates smoothly.Ensure that the workshop, tools, and vehicles are kept in a clean and tidy condition.Assist with dispatch of customer orders as required in accordance with the company’s contract review procedure.Understand and support the company’s policies, procedures, and work practices to achieve overall objectives in striping, assessing, and repairing equipment to meet customer requests and expectations.Meet company and customer expectations for quality, timelines, reporting, and communication.Carry out the duties of a Service Fitter ethically and always act in the best interests of the company.Commit to a safe and healthy work environment and follow all company policies, procedures, and safe working practices.Perform other duties relevant to the position as necessary.About the CompanyNational Oilwell Varco is an American multinational corporation based in Houston, Texas.
