A seasoned professional is sought to oversee the management of Self-Managed Superannuation Funds. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SMSF tax, structuring, and compliance, with experience in team leadership or second-in-charge roles.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversight of financial statements, fund establishment, and administration
* Mentoring and guidance of early career/assistant/associate accountants
* Technical expertise on complex matters, including internal and external stakeholder communication
* Workforce management, regulatory adherence, and client satisfaction
* Collaboration with senior executives on strategic initiatives, growth, and innovation
* Process improvement and systems development for efficient operations
* Adviser and internal stakeholder support for smooth fund administration and delivery
* Succession planning through employee development and technical upskilling
* Communication with auditors, ATO, and external stakeholders
Requirements
* Proven track record in team leadership or second-in-charge positions
* Strong knowledge of SMSF taxation, structuring, and compliance
* Ability to work effectively with financial/investment advisers
* Experience with Class, BGL, or equivalent platforms
* Collaborative mindset, hands-on approach, and talent for empowering teams
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
* Chartered Accountant or Certified Practising Accountant qualification
