As part of this expansion, we are seeking two part-time Customer Service Officers to join the team and help establish our new Mackay branch. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a brand-new branch from the beginning, helping to create a welcoming environment for customers while building strong local relationships.
The branch is currently expected to open in late May/early June, with successful candidates commencing beforehand to complete onboarding and training.
About The Role
As a Customer Service Officer, you are the face and voice of our Bank. You'll support customers both in branch and over the phone, helping with everyday banking needs while creating positive, trusted experiences.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you'll assist with transactions, account maintenance, new memberships, term deposits, insurance enquiries and general banking support. You will play an important role in building strong customer relationships and supporting the successful launch and ongoing operation of our Mackay branch.
This is a varied role that suits someone who is adaptable, detail orientated and genuinely passionate about helping people.
These are part-time position (15-20 hours per week), and flexibility is important in a small branch team. While regular hours will be agreed, there will be opportunities to work additional hours to support the team during periods of leave or higher demand.
Key Responsibilities:
A typical day in the life of a Customer Service Officer may include:
* Delivering friendly, accurate service face-to-face and over the phone
* Processing daily banking transactions including deposits, withdrawals and transfers
* Opening and maintaining personal and business accounts, memberships and term deposits
* Responding to customer enquiries and resolving issues at first contact where possible
* Providing general insurance information and quotes
* Making proactive customer contact using our CRM to support their ongoing needs
* Supporting branch presentation, security and administrative tasks
* Contributing to a positive team culture and excellent customer experience
* Meeting individual KPIs and contributing to team and organisational goals

Desirable:
* Experience in customer service or retail
* Cash handling or financial services experience
New to banking? That's okay. If you have strong customer service skills and a willingness to learn, we will provide training and support to help you build your knowledge and confidence in the role.
