Registered Nurse – Mental Health Inpatient Unit
Part Time - 64 hours per fortnight
The Team:
Mildura Base Public Hospital (MBPH), Mental Health Services offers a range of inpatient and community-based services for people experiencing mental illness and related issues in the Northern Mallee Region. We provide services to a diverse clientele including various cultural and indigenous backgrounds across the lifespan.
The Role:
The Inpatient Unit consists of 14 beds and caters for a variety of clients that are requiring hospital admission for a variety of Mental Health disorders. The Inpatient Unit maintains a high standard of care through the completion of skill competencies, regular supervision and the provision and encouragement of ongoing professional development to provide a client, family and recovery inclusive approach to the care of clients.
Applicants must be prepared to work shift work, including night-duty, across 7 days.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
The successful candidate will have well-developed clinical skills and experience within mental health nursing. Applicants will hold appropriate registration with AHPRA. Post graduate qualification in mental health would be advantageous but not essential.

The ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
A strong focus on time management and communication skills
You will be dedicated to a team orientated workplace and be prepared to work in an environment that can offer challenges
