Details: Education and Care, Regulation and Support (ECRS) Branch is seeking a highly motivated individual with an interest in the regulation and oversight of ACT non‑government schools and Home Education registration under the Education Act 2004.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:
Mandatory
* A current driver’s licence
* the ability to be approved and operate as an Authorised Person under section 67 of the Education Act 2004.
* Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - Apply for or renew a WWVP registration - Access Canberra
Desirable
* The position requires leadership and expertise in delivering and briefing on regulatory services, including monitoring policy and communications functions, and overseeing reviews of regulatory decisions. A strong knowledge of education and regulatory law is also desirable. In addition, experience in government, managing people and stakeholder engagement is critical for this position.
* Tertiary qualifications and experience in education an advantage. Related qualifications and experience may be considered.
