Job Description

As a Recovery Partner, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health conditions to achieve their recovery goals.

You will work closely with residents at our residential mental health program sites in Mount Claremont or Stirling, using the recovery approach to help them re-learn or gain new skills to live independently in the community.

This will involve:

* Working collaboratively with managers, primary care and clinical staff
* Monitoring and supporting medication management
* Supporting clients to achieve short and long-term recovery goals using individual recovery plans
* Encouraging active participation in the community
* Identifying opportunities for education, training and employment

The role involves a rotation between night shifts and sleepovers on a 4 nights on, 2 nights off roster. The first 4 nights will consist of a paid evening shift from 4:00pm-11:00pm, followed by a 11:00pm-7:00am sleep shift in which you will be paid an allowance. The second 4 nights will consist of a paid active night shift from 11:00pm-7:15am.


Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need:

* Certificate III in Mental Health, or a higher qualification, or equivalent experience
* Experience working with people experiencing mental health conditions
* Commitment to facilitating recovery with individualised support services
* Initiative and ability to work independently
* Great conversational, influencing and negotiating skills
* Ability to plan and problem-solve
* Evidence of flu vaccination for Winter 2021, and Covid Vaccination
* First Aid Certificate
* Current C class driver's license
* NDIS Check
* A completed pre-employment medical questionnaire

Others

If required, we'll provide you with medication competence training. As you gain experience, we will develop the capability to become an Approved Supervisor.
