Position Type: Full‐Time, Contracted role
Locations: Chatswood or Bankstown
Pay rate: $55.24ph + super
ASAP Start until end of December with solid potential for further extensions

About the Role
As an APS5 Project Officer, you will operate with a degree of autonomy under broad direction, delivering high‐quality governance and administrative support. You will manage competing priorities, track workflows, and ensure governance processes align seamlessly with legislative and policy requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Executive & Governance Support: Coordinate briefings, regional reporting, and core documentation for the Regional Manager and General Manager.
- Secretariat Operations: Manage operational governance processes, including scheduling meetings, compiling papers, tracking action items, and providing dedicated secretariat support.
- High‐Quality Documentation: Prepare clear, accurate, and well‐structured written materials, including briefs, reports, and correspondence, to support regional decision‐making.
- Digital Communication & SharePoint: Create, update, and manage digital content and resource pages on SharePoint to support regional communication strategies.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to gather information, share updates, and progress operational tasks.
- Risk Monitoring: Monitor own workflows, identify potential delivery delays or process risks, and elevate them to senior leadership in a timely manner.
The Ideal Candidate
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret and translate information into clear insights.
- Meticulous eye for detail, ensuring everything produced is accurate, compliant, and fit for purpose.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and work effectively under pressure with broad direction.
Desirable Experience: Governance or secretariat support within a government agency or large, complex organisation.
Proficiency in using SharePoint to manage content and support team communication is highly regarded.
