Our Glass Division at Smithfield is seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead and coordinate the day-to-day operations of our maintenance team. This role ensures machinery and equipment are maintained to the highest standard, supporting production efficiency and workplace safety. The Role Lead and supervise the maintenance team, coordinating daily planning meetings and toolbox talks. Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance programs using MEX maintenance software. Troubleshoot and carry out electrical fault finding and mechanical fitting as needed. Organise and supervise contractors, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards. Support site maintenance across multiple Smithfield locations. Provide training and mentoring to operators and maintenance staff. Drive a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all WHS and environmental standards. Liaise with managers, suppliers and authorities to optimise equipment performance and availability. The Person Mechanical Trades or Electrical qualification (essential). Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance environment. Strong technical knowledge of machinery, systems and maintenance practices. Proficiency with maintenance software (MEX preferred) and Microsoft Office. Hands-on approach with the ability to support both electrical and mechanical work 50/50. Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills. Current driver’s licence (EWP licence and First Aid desirable). Flexible and adaptable with a commitment to safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.
