Job Responsibilities
* Ensure that the Dementia Support Australia service is tailored to individual client needs and meets its key performance indicators.
* Work with an integrated team to ensure a consistent approach to our 'Next Chapter' initiative.
* Develop a culture of empowerment, mentorship, and support for the team, ensuring wellbeing and safety.
* Oversee service delivery to operate within the case management framework, reducing the impact of behaviours on people with dementia, their carers, and staff.
* Collaborate with other Team Leaders to meet broader program goals and deliver solutions.
* Contribute to the program's administrative, financial, risk, quality, and reporting objectives.
* Provide direct support and consultation to clients as needed.
* Ensure timely referral allocation to DSA staff aligned with KPIs.
* Report regularly to the Regional Manager on staff performance, service quality, and operational issues.
* Recruit suitable Dementia Consultants, Support Coaches, and Family Liaison Officers.
* Manage stakeholder relationships with local managers and staff in aged care, home care, and hospitals to promote program understanding and effectiveness.
What We Need From You
* A commitment to the organisation's values and mission.
* Qualifications in Nursing, Allied Health, or a related health degree.
* Experience supporting older people and carers with dementia, emphasising psycho-social case management approaches.
* The ability to lead teams across multiple sites.
* Strong multitasking, communication, planning, and organisational skills.
* Attention to detail and analytical skills.
* Customer management and administrative skills.
* The willingness to travel intra- and interstate.
Desirable Qualifications
* Eligibility for Australian Health Practitioner registration.
* Qualifications or studies related to dementia.
