Automation Systems Technician
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automation Systems Technician to join our team. As an essential member of our operations, you will play a key role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our automation systems.
Job Summary:
The Automation Systems Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting automation systems, including electrical service, installation, and repair work on equipment. You will also deliver programming and modifications as needed, interpret circuit diagrams, and provide training to customer personnel on equipment operations and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform electrical service, installation, and repair work on automation systems.
* Deliver PLC, touchscreen, and robotics programming/modifications as needed.
* Interpret AutoCAD circuit diagrams and recommend system improvements.
* Provide training to customer personnel on equipment operations and maintenance.
* Complete detailed service reports, including part numbers and recommendations.
* Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective outcomes.
* Maintain compliance with OHSE standards across all sites.
Requirements:
* Electrical Trade Qualification with a current Electrical Licence.
* 5+ years of post-trade experience in manufacturing or a related industry.
* Proficiency with PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Omron), robotics, and AutoCAD.
* Strong communication skills, customer service focus, and a solutions mindset.
* Experience with AC/DC drives and mechanical aptitude highly regarded.
* Flexibility to travel interstate and occasionally internationally as required.
