NDIS Local Area Coordinators (First Nations Targeted)
We invite applications from Local Area Coordination professionals to join our team on a full‐time basis, with multiple vacancies across Greater Sydney based at Parramatta or Baulkham Hills, Pymble, and Lithgow.
Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply. Appropriate cultural knowledge and understanding are important to deliver effectively in this role.
* Full‐time permanent opportunities (38 hours per week – Monday to Friday)
* Work‐from‐home flexibility of 2 days per week
* Starting salary: SCHADS 401 $88,090 per year plus salary packaging up to $18,550 plus super
What You'll Be Doing In This Role
As a Local Area Coordinator, you will use your people skills, multitasking ability, and adaptability to assist participants in navigating the NDIS. You will guide participants to make informed choices, gather information for their NDIS plans, and help them understand how plan funding works to achieve their goals.
Your Work Will Include
* Supporting people with disabilities, families and carers by providing linkage and referrals to community and mainstream services and/or services funded by the NDIA's Grant programs.
* Acquiring a thorough understanding of the NDIS and Uniting training, enabling you to support participants through various stages of their pathway.
* Undertaking other duties as requested by the Service Area Leadership Team consistent with the general nature and responsibilities of the position.

* Someone with great people skills, customer service ability, excellent communication and time‐management skills.
* Background with disability, understanding of a Local Area Coordinator role and NDIS knowledge.
* Experience managing multiple responsibilities or working in a high KPI‐driven environment with efficiency, meeting service delivery deadlines.
* Adaptability, empathy, and resourcefulness, able to live Uniting's everyday values of compassion, respect, imagination, and boldness.
