Santamaria Design is a boutique residential interior design studio based in the inner west. We create sophisticated and timeless residential interiors to suit our clients. We are seeking a highly skilled Mid to Senior Interior Designer to join our team.
This is a full-time position based in Concord, Sydney suited to an experienced designer who brings creativity, technical excellence and strong project leadership. You'll play a pivotal role in delivering projects from concept to completion, working closely with clients, building associates and suppliers to achieve exceptional outcomes and client experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the lead designer on the concept design, design development and documentation of various residential projects.
* Develop strong conceptual ideas and translate them into detailed documentation packages.
* Produce high quality documentation, schedules, and specifications.
* Liaise confidently with clients, builders and suppliers throughout the life of the project.
* Attend site meetings, conduct site measurements and inspections, and manage project timelines and budget.
Ideal Candidate
* A minimum of 4–5 years in a studio environment.
* A portfolio showcasing a deep understanding of materials and residential design detailing.
* Strong technical proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator), Canva, InDesign and Microsoft Office.
* Exceptional planning, presentation and communication skills.
* Proven ability to manage multiple high‑end residential projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
* A collaborative, professional and positive approach to working in a small studio environment.
* Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
