We're looking for a hands-on, proactive Maintenance Technician – Floater to support our customers' automated systems through high-quality preventative and corrective maintenance.
This unique position offers a variety of challenges and the opportunity to work across shifts in Brisbane, providing essential coverage during planned leave periods.As part of our collaborative and safety-driven team, you'll play a key role in ensuring that high-tech automated systems continue to operate at peak performance.What you'll be doingProvide technical support during breakdowns, shutdowns and all preventative maintenance activities.Complete scheduled CMMS tasks within the assigned timeframes.Perform maintenance and repairs in accordance with OEM standards.Support the training of new technicians on SSI SCHAEFER's automated products.Collaborate with international helpdesk and internal departments to troubleshoot and resolve issues.Identify and recommend asset improvements and design solutions.Assist with continuous improvement and update maintenance records accordingly.Log unplanned work and parts usage accurately in CMMS and recommend inventory level adjustments.Build strong working relationships with our customer's operations teams.Actively participate in team meetings to improve efficiency and performance.Always promote and adhere to a protected work environment.What you'll bringTrade-qualified Industrial Electrician with at least 2 years' experience in the automation or materials handling industry.The ability to fill in for Day, Night & Weekend shifts.Strong working knowledge of PLCs, VSDs, sensors and control systems.Experience using CMMS.Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and manuals.Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working independently or in a team.Ability to diagnose and repair mechatronic faults quickly and safely.Excellent customer service focus and clear communication skills.Familiarity with AS3000 wiring standards.Electrical Workers Licence (mandatory).
