Assistant Manager – Full Time
We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Assistant Manager to join the team at Fat Pomelo in Narrabeen. This full-time role is perfect for someone who loves hospitality, enjoys leading a team, and wants to grow their career in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
You'll work closely with the General Manager to keep the restaurant running smoothly day to day, support the team, and help deliver great food and memorable customer experiences.
What You'll Be Doing
* Supporting the General Manager with daily operations, including staffing, stock control, and basic financial tasks
* Leading and motivating front-of-house and back-of-house teams to keep service running smoothly
* Helping improve the customer experience and driving sales through great service and smart ideas
* Handling customer feedback and resolving issues calmly and professionally
* Making sure health, safety, and compliance standards are always met
* Assisting with hiring, training, and developing team members
* Getting involved in promotions, marketing ideas, and special events
What We're Looking For
* At least 2 years' experience in a supervisory or management role in hospitality
* A confident communicator who enjoys leading by example
* Ability to stay calm, organised, and solutions-focused during busy services
* Experience with POS systems and stock management
* Good understanding of food and beverage service
* A genuine passion for hospitality and customer service
* Strong time management and organisational skills
* Australian work rights will be assessed on a case-by-case basis
