CUBIC is located on George St near Roma station and is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic KITCHEN HAND to join our team
About Us: We are a small speciality coffee shop that focuses on homemade sweets and food. Our shop has an excellent reputation thanks to our commitment to quality and our customer service level.
The Role
As a kitchen hand, you'll play a vital role in day-to-day operations which will include opening or closing the store, set responsibilities requiring time and strong management skills, as well as assisting with kitchen hand duties, including:
* Assisting pastry chef with cookies, sweets & bread Production
* Kitchen cleaning
* Maintaining a clean and organised workspace
The successful candidate must be a people person and have:
* A warm and welcoming personality, and a commitment to clean and professional presentation
* Calm and confident demeanour under pressure
* Excellent communication skills with colleagues and customers alike
* Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers alike
* Well-groomed appearance
* Attention to personal hygiene and cleanliness
What We Offer
* Award rates (above for the right candidate and based on skill level)
* 20 - 25 hours minimum over 4 days, set roster. No week end work, no public holiday work.

What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in a bakery, hospitality, cafe setting. Previous sandwich making experience highly regarded.
* Ability to manage time and communicate priorities/work efficiently and effectively in an often fast-paced environment
* Excellent attention to detail and quality control
* Excellent knowledge of relevant food health safety standards
* Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings (sometimes from 6am)
