Job Overview
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist plays a critical role in the preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic imaging procedures.
This individual will possess a strong understanding of radiation safety protocols and maintain high standards of quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic imaging procedures.
* Accurately record patient treatments and dosages.
* Perform routine equipment maintenance and quality control checks to ensure optimal performance.
* Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
* Engage in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry advancements.
Requirements:
* A tertiary qualification in Nuclear Medicine is essential.
* Minimum 1 year experience working in Nuclear Medicine is required.
* Current AHPRA registration as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist is necessary.
* Current WA Radiation Licence is also required.
* PET experience and Diagnostic CT Accreditation are highly desirable but not essential.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are expected.
* An interest in or commitment to training and development is a must.
