BOQ Estimator
to join our National Procurement & Estimating Systems team and play a key role in supporting accurate, efficient and high‑quality estimating across the business.
This is a national role based at our
Altona Head Office
, working closely with multiple internal teams to ensure our BOQs, pricing, and options are consistently delivered to a high standard.
About The Role
Reporting to the National Product Manager/BOQ Team Leader, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining:
* Master Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
* Floor Plan Options
* Tender Options
* Energy Options
* You'll use Burbank's estimating software to ensure accuracy, margin compliance, and timely delivery of all estimating outputs across all states.
Key Responsibilities
* Create accurate master BOQs for dwelling types nationally
* Ensure recipes include all required items and maintain valid pricing
* Review plans and documentation for accuracy
* Develop and maintain site cost recipes
* Produce retail pricing for Sales and Sales Estimating teams
* Collaborate with Procurement, Drafting, RD&D, and Estimating teams
* Manage and resolve errors based on reporting
* Conduct quality checks and maintain BOQ integrity over time
* Contribute to a high‑performing NEST team environment
About You
You'll be a strong fit for this role if you have:
* Minimum 4 years' experience in sales and/or production estimating
* Strong plan‑checking ability and material take‑off skills
* Advanced mathematical and formula‑building capability across software platforms
* Solid understanding of domestic residential construction
* High level of accuracy in bill creation and item quantities
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work within timelines and adapt to varying workloads
* Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building skills
