About the role

The Officer, Early Career Academy supports the work of the Teacher Attraction Initiatives team within the School Workforce Directorate.

The Teacher Attraction Initiatives team promotes career opportunities for current and future teachers across NSW and communicates the department's teacher value proposition (TVP), positioning the NSW Department of Education as an employer of choice.

Reporting to the Lead, Teacher Attraction Programs, this role contributes to the planning, development and delivery of campaigns and initiatives, supporting project coordination, tracking progress and ensuring activities are delivered on time and to a high standard.

The role also assists in developing content across a range of digital channels, including web, CRM, EDM, social media and podcast platforms, ensuring alignment with departmental values, brand and style guidelines.

Working collaboratively with the broader team and key stakeholders, the role supports the delivery of various teacher attraction initiatives, including promotional activities for programs such as the Teach NSW Podcast, and contributes to stakeholder communications by preparing updates, tracking progress and supporting reporting on key milestones and priorities.

The team works closely with stakeholders to design and deliver targeted recruitment initiatives, campaigns and events that position the department as an employer of choice.

About you

* Knowledge of and a minimum of 3 years of experience in business, communications, marketing, project management or related discipline.
* Experience in managing digital channels including web, CRM, EDM, social media (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and X) and podcast platforms.
* Experience supporting the delivery of high quality services and products to a variety of internal and external stakeholders highly regarded.
* Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

* Currently hold or be willing to obtain a valid clearance to work with Children (Working with Children Check).
* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of public education.

As a condition of employment, successful candidates not currently employed by the Department must provide a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance number. Renewal is not required after the WWCC expires, as long as you remain in a non–child-related role. Employer obligations only apply while the WWCC is valid.
