**About the role**
Our new Head of Facilities Management will oversee efficient, cost-effective operations and development of all facilities services at V/Line. Responsibilities include managing corporate accommodation, designing and implementing office spaces, maintaining facilities, and providing specialist advice. The role ensures a safe, legally compliant environment for staff and contractors, proactively resolving facilities challenges to support continuous business operations and sustainability initiatives.
A key aspect of the role is developing a Strategic Plan for facilities management, including policies and procedures, in collaboration with V/Line stakeholders.
**About you**
- Must have 6+ years’ facilities management experience in geographically dispersed sites.
- Demonstrated experience successfully leading and managing a facilities management team.
- Proven experience successfully developing a facilities management strategy including associated policies & procedures.
- Established experience successfully managing building services and facility operations in line with statutory legislation.
- Proven facilities management experience within Government sector (highly desirable)
- Established facilities management experience within Transport sector (highly preferred)
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Management, Construction, Engineering or other relevant field (highly desirable)
