About the Role
The Trading & Accounts Assistant will support the finance and trading teams by maintaining accurate records of daily cryptocurrency and fiat transactions, assisting with bookkeeping, and managing accounts payable processes. This role is essential for ensuring smooth financial operations, proper reconciliation, and up-to-date financial data in a fast-moving crypto trading environment. It's an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a strong foundation in crypto finance and digital asset accounting.
What You'll Do
* Record and reconcile daily cryptocurrency and fiat trading transactions across multiple exchanges and wallets
* Perform daily and weekly reconciliations of trading accounts, wallets, and bank accounts to ensure data accuracy
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
* Perform general accounts administration tasks, including document management, data entry, and maintaining financial records
* Support the Accounts Payable function, including invoice entry, payment processing, and vendor communication
* Assist with banking operations such as processing payments, monitoring balances, handling transaction queries, and liaising with the banks when necessary
* Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end closing activities
* Perform basic data analysis on trading activity, financial trends, and transaction patterns to support reporting and decision-making in collaboration with operational teams.
* Work closely with Finance and Operations teams to ensure accuracy and compliance
* collaborate with internal teams to investigate and resolve transaction discrepancies
* Support the preparation of financial reports and assist with tax compliance activities
* Maintain proper documentation and assist in developing and improving financial processes and controls

What You'll Need
Education
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
* Progressing toward CPA or CA qualification
Essential
* 1–2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles, including transaction processing, reconciliations, bookkeeping, and accounts administration
* Solid understanding of financial transactions, general ledger accounting, and reconciliation processes.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets — confident in using formulas, pivot tables, and managing large datasets
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail when working with financial and transactional data
* Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with internal teams
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially when investigating financial discrepancies
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
* Motivated, adaptable, and eager to grow within a fintech and crypto-focused business
Desirable
* Interest in or exposure to cryptocurrency markets, digital assets, or financial trading (preferred but not mandatory)
