About the role: In this role you will work collaboratively with Managers, Solicitors and Legal Support Officers to provide high-level administrative and legal support. Key Responsibilities Your day-to-day will be dynamic, involving both high-level executive support and hands-on legal administration: Legal Support: Maintain electronic files, assist with case management, update OPP systems, issue subpoenas, and prepare eBriefs and court documents. Administrative Excellence: Provide executive support to the Manager and Managing Principal Solicitors, including data collection, reporting, and file allocations. Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for police, counsel, witnesses, and other government agencies. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to implement new technologies and innovative practices to enhance team efficiency. Team Coordination: Assist in monitoring workflow for legal support staff and participate in divisional projects and committees. Who You Are To be successful in this role, you will have: Legal Admin Experience: Proven competence in providing support within a complex, confidential, or legal environment. Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in MS Office (Word/Excel), PDF Docs, Adobe, and computerized case management systems. Adaptability: The ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities effectively. Interpersonal Skills: A collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Initiative: A knack for problem-solving and a desire to continuously improve systems and processes.
