This is a casual, on-call opportunity based at Geraldton Port. The role involves operating front-end loaders to manage bulk commodities such as iron ore and other materials in a high-volume production setting.
You will work within strict safety and operational procedures while maintaining consistent productivity levels.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate front-end wheel loaders safely and efficiently
* Manage bulk material handling and stockpile movements
* Assist with shed maintenance and ore stockpile management
* Perform routine mobile plant checks and report faults
* Maintain accurate operational and compliance records
* Follow all workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures
* Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
About You
* Previous experience operating front-end wheel loaders in a production or port environment
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-output setting
* Strong commitment to safety and compliance
* Ability to work under pressure and in varying environmental conditions
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Reliable and self-motivated
What You Will Need
* Valid Australian driver's licence
* Verification of Competency (VOC) for Front-End Wheel Loader (FEL)
* Additional VOCs for other mobile plant (advantage)
* Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain
* Must reside in or near Geraldton (residential candidates only)
