Overview
Dental Technician (Digital Design and Ceramics) – Premium Dental Lab is located in Ripley, Queensland, 35 minutes west of Brisbane. We're looking for technicians skilled in Ceramics and Digital Design to join our team. Premium Dental Lab has quickly grown into one of the biggest labs in the country, and we are looking to expand our team to meet demand.
Our lead ceramic technicians mentor and guide younger technicians to help them become accomplished ceramists. This position offers opportunities to learn high-level techniques for colour matching, texture, staining and layering to achieve exceptional results with a variety of case types. The lab is classified as "regional" for immigration purposes. We are open to sponsorship for the right candidates.
The lab emphasizes digital workflows with crown & bridge ceramics and implant restorations, including both single and full-arch cases, finished with high-level staining and ceramics. We are seeking experienced technicians in Digital Design and Ceramics.
Responsibilities
* Work across digital design and ceramics with emphasis on crown & bridge restorations and implant restorations (single and full-arch).
* Utilize digital workflows for tooth design, colouring, finishing, staining and layering of ceramics.
* Trim, fit crowns, and manage high-quality staining and glazing.
* Contribute to refining colour matching and layering to achieve consistent, high-quality results.
* Support and learn from senior ceramists; mentor less experienced technicians as appropriate.
* For Digital Design roles, manage 3D printing and milling processes and understand implant planning and surgical guide considerations.
Qualifications and Experience
* Digital Design technicians should have a solid understanding of anterior aesthetics and tooth morphology and be experienced with digital design software (Exocad, 3Shape; InLab experience highly valued).
* Ceramic technicians should be familiar with digital workflows, have a strong understanding of tooth anatomy and colouring, and be skilled in trimming and fitting crowns, staining and glazing, and layering ceramic.
* For Digital Design applicants, ideally at least 3 years of experience.
* Senior Ceramist role involves performing ceramic work at a very high level and the ability to teach and train less experienced technicians.
* Experience with implant-supported crowns and bridges, 3D printing, milling, and related processes is valued. Implant planning and surgical guide experience are also valued.
Position Details
The positions available are full-time, 38 hours per week. Remuneration will be negotiated with the successful candidate and salary range is $60,000 to $100,000 depending on qualifications, skills and experience.
