Job Description
Bring joy through social connection as a Volunteer
Connect with the patients in our Older Persons' Mental Health unit at North Ryde through creative activities. As a volunteer, you will encourage patients to engage in a craft activity, art project or other creative pursuit, either individually or in a group. You will offer relaxed companionship, be a good listener, and enjoy social engagement.
This role is all about kindness, presence, and the power of sharing a creative experience, no matter how small. It's a lovely way to connect with patients and brighten their day.
Requirements
Applicants must be aged 18 years and over. HammondCare will organise and pay for a national police check. You will be required to meet NSW Dept of Health Immunisation standards for the category of this role (including HepB, Measles mumps and rubella, Tetanus, influenza or be willing to discuss meeting the requirements).
One hour each week for 12 months or longer. We will discuss a suitable time between Monday to Friday.
