The Role
We are looking for an individual who can manage, mentor and coordinate the Mining Team to achieve safety, environmental, cost and production objectives. A outstanding opportunity where you can work in the contractor management space, challenge your technical skills and bring your leadership expertise, all while doing it on a fantastic family-friendly roster.
Core Accountabilities Include
Delivery of Zero Harm
Accountable for the safe and efficient extraction of the phosphate rock reserve
Supporting the management of the mining contractor
Short to long term mine planning, scheduling and mine design
Compilation of annual departmental budget
Deliver continuous improvement
What You'll Bring
Ideally we are looking to hear from people with a background in Mining or Civil Engineering. You would have previously led a small team or had leadership exposure in the mining environment.
Other Desired Skills And Experience Include
You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture
Hands on knowledge of mine planning, scheduling and planning software
Effective communication skills
Productive mining operations experience
Tailings and Water Management experience is desirable
QSEC licence or ability to obtain

The Site
Northern Australian Operations consists of an Ammonium Phosphate Mine and Processing Plant (Phosphate Hill) and Sulphuric Plant (Mt Isa) in North Queensland. The facilities comprise of ammonia, beneficiation, phosphoric acid, granulation and sulphuric acid plants plus infrastructure, utilities, power generation and housing to support the permanent workforce.
