Entry level opportunity for Emergency Service Officer for 6 weeks in Top 1 mining company

Western Australian mining Top 1 company, with multiple operations throughout the state. Leader in sustainable production, they manage the entire process, from mining the raw material to refining and smelting.
**Your new role**
As an Emergency Service Officer, you will be reporting to the Emergency Services Supervisor and will be responsible for providing specialist and technical support to operational personnel on emergency prevention, response and recovery, as well as providing first medical assistance in the event of an emergency. Your duties will include:
- Emergency Management: Maintain emergency response equipment, assist with the development of emergency management plans & emergency planning activities and inspecting fixed fire systems.
- Emergency Response: Act as on-scene commander for level 1 incidents, provide incident updates, ensure scene security and conduct operational debriefs.
- Emergency Training: Coordinate and participate in emergency response exercises and drills as well as conduct site-specific emergency response training for all work groups and on-site teams.
- Medical & First Aid: Conduct Alcohol and Other Drug testing as well as transfer of patients (on/off site) to ensure correct level of care.
- Site access: Managing site access systems, monitoring security systems and conducting patrols and inspections.
**What you'll need to succeed**
As an Emergency Service Officer, you will need the following experience and qualifications to successfully perform the duties:
- Cert III in Emergency Response and Rescue or Cert III Fire Fighting
- Cert IV Health Care/Ambulance/Pre-Hospital Care or Higher
- Drug and Alcohol Testing
- Heavy Rigid Driving Licence
- Can successfully manage time, set priorities, plan, communicate, and organise work deliverables in an emergency.
