Role Overview
The Clinical Midwife Consultant - Healthier Pregnancies provides culturally safe and clinically effective preventive maternal and infant health leadership and coordination to Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service (TCHHS) staff involved in antenatal and postnatal care for residents across TCHHS.
This role supports the implementation of the Supporting Healthier Pregnancies Initiative under the Putting Queensland Kids First Strategy, aiming to improve the health of pregnant women and their children through enhanced preventive healthcare and support pathways.
Work Conditions
Based in Cairns, with travel into communities to support the initiative's rollout. Travel outside usual hours may accrue TOIL, with travel allowances payable. Standard hours are Monday to Friday, with no regular weekend or public holiday work expected.
