Role Overview
The Treasurer is responsible for the financial supervision of the club to allow the committee to provide good governance. The Treasurer will regularly report on the club's financial status to both the committee and the club members.
Tasks include:
* Manage all aspects of the club's finances
* Prepare budgets and manage cashflow
* Oversee payments, receipts, and financial recordkeeping
* Prepare monthly and annual financial reports and report to the committee
* Support other aspects of the club with financial data such as fundraising and grant applications
Time Required
Approx 2-6 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate financial records and reports
* Oversee cash handling processes and electronic payments
* Prepare budgets for each department and track variances
* Present monthly updates at committee meetings
* Liaise with accountants, auditors, and the Club President
* Ensure compliance with all financial and reporting obligations
About You
* Strong organisational and record‑keeping skills
* Basic accounting or bookkeeping experience (Xero skills a plus)
* Reliable, transparent and detail‑oriented
* Passionate about supporting grassroots sport
