Step into a high-impact leadership role managing the safe and efficient operations of the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Airport, a key regional transport hub. This is a rare opportunity to bring your aviation expertise into a pivotal position backed by a progressive local government.
The Role
Reporting to the Director Corporate & Commercial, you'll oversee airport operations, safety, compliance and stakeholder engagement. You'll lead a dedicated team and drive continuous improvement in performance and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead overall airport operations and ensure compliance with all regulations
Manage emergency and security plans, audits and inspections
Oversee technical inspections and remediation of Obstacle Limitation Surfaces
Supervise safety and security screening procedures
Manage budgets and reporting
Support infrastructure projects and stakeholder engagement
About You
You're a decisive leader with a strong background in aviation operations or airport management, and a keen eye for compliance, safety and strategic planning.
You'll need:
Tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in regional or capital city airport operations
Aviation Lead Auditor and Investigation qualifications
Radiotelephony Licence and eligibility for AusCheck ASIC
WA "C" Class Driver's Licence and National Police Clearance
Highly regarded:
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or relevant safety certifications
Budget and financial reporting experience
Team leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities
Existing connections with airlines or airport networks
You thrive in high-pressure settings, solve problems with a strategic mindset, and are ready to lead in a visible, community-facing role.
