Join the Community Health and Therapy Services (CHATS) team in Mackay, supporting patients and carers across hospital, community, and rural settings. You'll play a key role in rehabilitation, aged care, and community health, enabling patients to remain safely at home and live meaningful, independent lives. Location: Mackay Base Hospital, QLD Contract Dates: ASAP - 30 November 2025 Vacancy: Occupational Therapist - HP3 Hours & Roster: Monday-Friday (no weekends) Option 1: 76 hours per fortnight (8 hrs/day, 0730-1700) Option 2: 80 hours per fortnight (8.5 hrs/day, 0730-1700, 1 RDO/month) Pay Rates: HP3 Level Benefits Accommodation provided (up to 7km from hospital - transport at own expense) Regional coastal lifestyle in Mackay, Queensland Work within a collaborative transdisciplinary team Gain broad caseload experience across hospital, rehab, aged care & community What You'll Need Current AHPRA Registration (Occupational Therapist) Experience in: Community health & home visits Aged care services Rehabilitation across varied conditions Ability to apply clinical knowledge and provide leadership in community settings Mandatory Competencies: Basic Life Support Manual & patient handling Infection control (including hand hygiene) Occupational Violence Prevention (de-escalation & safety) Mandatory reporting of child abuse/neglect Aged Care Act & elder abuse responsibilities Nice to Have Experience with neurological caseloads Proficiency with ieMR (Integrated Electronic Medical Record) Previous QLD Health or Mackay HHS experience Ready to Join?
