As the Senior Network Engineer, you’ll be responsible for designing and optimising IP/MPLS networks, resolving complex issues, integrating new technologies and collaborating with internal teams and vendors to deliver reliable, scalable network solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, manage, and optimise IP/MPLS backbone and access networks
* Troubleshoot complex faults; support onboarding of Service Providers
* Lead network testing, R&D, and integration of new technologies
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors
* Produce and maintain high-quality documentation (processes, diagrams, IPAM)
* Support network expansion, performance, and innovation through scalable solutions
* Participate in on-call support and after-hours implementations
* Build and present business cases for technical enhancements or innovations
* Ensure documentation and processes meet internal standards and compliance requirements
Skills & Experience
* Prior experience within service providers or enterprise networks
* Strong expertise in IP/MPLS, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, xPON, GPON, CGNAT, and firewall technologies
* Hands-on with Nokia, Juniper, Fortinet, Huawei, Opengear, Ruckus and Adtran devices
* Experience with network capacity planning, incident/problem management and test labs
* Industry certifications (Cisco, Nokia, Juniper)
* Strong documentation, stakeholder management and technical leadership skills.
* Must be based in Perth, WA with full unrestricted working rights. **
