South Burnett Regional Council is one of the largest employers within the region, with offices and depots located in Kingaroy, Nanango, Wondai, Murgon, Proston and Blackbutt.

About the Region
The South Burnett Region is ideally situated just 2 - 3 hours' drive to Brisbane, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast and Fraser Coast. The region is home to the stunning Bunya Mountains, where you can enjoy spectacular rainforest walks, nights by the fire in hidden chalets and the best scenic views Queensland has to offer. About the roles
* Based in Kingaroy
* Casual (up to mid December)
* $ $32.32 per hour + 23% Casual Loading, Allowances & Super
Council is seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join the Finance and Liveability Department, providing vital support in the delivery of water meter operations across the South Burnett Region. In this hands on role, you will assist with the collection of water meter data, mapping, and defect reporting, while ensuring the accurate recording of meter locations within townships. You will also be responsible for operating and managing the digital systems and mobile applications used for data collection and reporting. This role requires a reasonable level of physical fitness and would suit someone who enjoys working outdoors and being on the move. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in general labouring duties, with the ability to follow instructions and work independently in the field. A strong working knowledge of mobile phones and associated software is essential, along with sound communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
